Raphael is, first and foremost, the Archangel of Healing. He is one of the three Archangels in tbe Bible mentioned by name (the other two being Michael and Gabriel). He is one of the seven angels who attend the holy throne of God. Raphael is the angel sent by God to heal Jacob of the wound in his thigh after he wrestled with his "dark enemy". He accompanies Tobit's son Tobias from Nineveh to Medina and defends him from the demon Asmodeus, thus also making him the angel who watches over those on a spiritual pilgrimage, seeking spiritual healing or transformation.Raphael's color is green, the color of chlorophyl, the color of life. His day is Wednesday. His chakra is the heart. His Divine Compliment is the Archeia (female archangel) Mary. He is said to have an etheric residence above Fatima, Portugal. His Catholic Feast Day is September 29. (St. Raphael the Archangel's feast had been celebrated on October 24 since 1921 until it was combined with St. Michael and St. Gabriel.)
